Message so additional sensors can be attached, data viewed in the software and datalogged which was mainly what pushed the ZEM project away from adding yet another hardware device. The labjack connects to the MAS and CAS and the software calculates TP and highlights the appropriate cell in real time based on RPM and TP.

As I'm sure you know, there are about a million and one ways to build a system that does the same thing - using already existing hardware devices cut down on development time and eliminates having to handle all of the other facets involved with manufacturing. As it stands, the hardware is just ordered from our suppliers pretty much ready to go. Surprisingly of the 350 or so units out there I think we've had just two cases of an issue with the emulator and only one labjack, perhaps two. In those cases though, we simply sent the bad unit back and got a replacement. Only caveat with this arrangement is we definately pay for what we get as compared to if I designed the emulator and DAQ hardware and simply have those manufactured, but who knows what sorts of challenges and obstacles that route would have presented as well as the impact on when the ZEM was released (or even released at all)... *shrug* :) The ZEMs do well tho and are actually a LOT less of a technical support headache than a simple bolt-in ECU upgrade, LOL...
